There's something so magical about that in-between moment, where it isn't quite light or dark, the sun is a buttery yellow, the shadows are long, and there's a touch of magic in the air. When nature puts on a display of greys, purples, blues, yellows, pinks, and orange that melt into each other from the grass to the sky - no two sunsets ever the same. 

In these sunrise and sunset paintings, I've done my best to capture that moment - enhancing the colours so that they look the way they do to my eyes, in a way that no camera seems to be able to capture in the same way.
