Do you ever stop and stare at sunsets, and sunrises, to try and imprint that exact pattern of clouds and colour and light into your memory, because it's just so beautiful?

There's something so magical about that in-between moment, where it isn't quite light or dark, the sun is a buttery yellow, the shadows are long, and there's a touch of magic in the air. When nature puts on a display of greens, turquoise, blues, yellows, pinks, and orange that melt into each other from the sand to the sky - no two sunsets ever the same. 

In these sunrise and sunset paintings, I've done my best to capture that moment - enhancing the colours so that they look the way they do to my eyes, in a way that no camera seems to be able to capture in the same way.
