THE MONTHLY SNAIL MAIL ART CLUB

A little joy and colour delivered every month!
Do you remember the last time something arrived through the post that made you genuinely smile? Not a bill, not something that needs to be dealt with. Something that felt like it had been sent just to make you happy?

That is what I make, every month. A new watercolour painting, scanned, printed, and sent the old fashioned way via the post. A little thing designed just to make your day a little brighter.

But wait, there's more...
An open page from my sketchbook, showing horses galloping over a rainbow, and an autumn leaf, painted in watercolours.
Learn Watercolour Painting with Monthly Video Tutorials

Every month I paint a new watercolour piece from my widebeam boat on the UK canals. You receive that painting, and alongside it, a complete step-by-step video tutorial showing exactly how I created it.

This isn't about learning to paint the way I do. It's about giving yourself permission to slow down once a month, pick up a brush, and really look at something beautiful, and to discover the way that YOU paint. The monthly art tutorial is structured for complete beginners through to intermediate painters — I break every stage into simple steps so that anyone can follow along.

What you receive each month

The Art: Your choice: a printed postcard delivered by post, or a digital image delivered via the secret subscriber page.

The Line Art Outline: A clean outline drawing to get you started.

The Reference Image: The original photograph or reference I used to create the painting.

The Video Tutorial: A walkthrough of my entire painting process, from first wash to final touches. Watch to learn the techniques, understand my approach, or simply enjoy seeing how the piece came together.

Words of Encouragement: Every postcard features a message of love, hope and encouragement on the reverse.

Ongoing Subscriber Benefits

Secret Subscriber Access: An exclusive page with behind-the-scenes content, studio updates, work-in-progress shorts, creative process insights - and it's where all of the tutorial information will be waiting for you each month.

Be The Art Director: Occasionally, you'll get to choose which art will feature on future postcards.

Exclusive Giveaways: Periodic chances to win original paintings, or bespoke commissions - available only to subscribers.

I signed up for the monthly postcard art for a few reasons. First, I wanted to support a longtime friend. I was also intrigued by the concept and curious to see how it worked. Most importantly, I loved the idea of receiving a different painting each month. I have now received three postcard deliveries and have them all proudly displayed in my home. They are a great way to add something special and unique to the room and I love the surprise each month of discovering what painting will arrive. It's one of my monthly highlights and never fails to put a smile on my face.

Who is the art postcard subscription for?

Perhaps you're just here for the art postcard, to keep on display or give away as a gift. Some of you will watch the video tutorial out of curiosity. And some of you want to learn some of my secret mystical watercolour ways and will love to watch and absorb the tutorials, and paint your very own beautiful piece of art - and perhaps some of you will do it all!

The aim of the monthly watercolour tutorial is to take some time every month to sit and play with some paints, and learn to observe thing more deeply. It's up to the individual how seriously they want to take it, and how far they want to go with it!

No minimum term. Cancel whenever you like. Keep the art, gift it to a friend, come and go as your heart desires.

Subscribing helps support me as an independent artist living on the UK canals, enabling me to keep painting and spreading joy. Help me make the world happier, one piece of art at a time.
